after seeing a couple of the people i watch doing these i thought that it would be a good idea to sum up things myself.
well. i must say 6 years and not a whole bunch of artwork to show for it. but that's not the big thing I've pulled away from all this.
i joined Deviantart on December 29th 2007, mostly testing out my then new Ninteno DS and internet browser. what a load of fun that was.
being 100% honest the original reason i created an account was to bypass the Censor filters, i lied about my age when i signed up. (though it has since been corrected to the appropriate one) and what can i say? looking back i am kinda ashamed i did it.
moving on a few weeks i had completely forgotten about Deviantart's existence until one day while i was doing my Year 12 academia (that's 11th Grade for those State side) my dad gave me his graphics tablet after a loft Clear out. i still have it somewhere but hey.
using it i started to doodle some things in MS paint and found that with the new Extra time i had during school (Years 12 and 13 often don't have 100% filled 50 Slot rotas) i decided that instead of studying like i should have been doing i would play with my relatively new laptop and the tablet my father gave me. so i did... then i thought i would want to share it but not with anyone i knew as that would be too embarrassing but i didn't know where.
this continued for a while. taking things from other artists that i got to know well due to their web comic i realised that perhaps i should register on their site. though when i went to sign up i was horrified that my username was in use. but i remembered something about it, it was me!
so yea. i started posting my work relatively proud of what i had done, that foolish pride of 'i did this' and initally i got some positive feedback. stumbling around other artists i found that the PC desktop i had been using for a long time was done by my now friend but not wanting to talk to him directly as well. compare our galleries and you will understand. so i looked at some of the people he was with and found :iconultath: and her then partner. we got talking and things started from there. i started playing minecraft and managed to get another one of my friends to play it what he did is his story. but from there myself and a small group formed some good friendships that for the most part have stood the test of time somewhat.
im not exactly sure when we met but i also met my very close friend on this site too.
overall i think that from the beginning i had improved... a lot. but also... not as much as i wanted. i realised i kicked myself in the teeth by not studying as hard as i should have by only just managing to pass all my exams, i quickly realized that i wasn't getting into college so needed a backup plan. i took a 6 month crash Microsoft certified IT course and jumped straight into the world of work. but its only through this that i realised that my friends and acquaintances that i have made and met over the years of Deviant art have built who i am. without it the Buddy you see today would not exist. and I'm damn sure that some of the friendships formed wouldn't either.
so its been 6 years. (3 of which were being a lurker or not here at all) but its had such a massive impact on me that i don't know where i would be without it.
everyone here has a story. why not tell yours?
all my love and support to all my past current and future friends.
and everyone else! I owe you so much!

Comment, and I will:
1. Tell you why I befriended you.
2. Associate you with something- random, a song, a color, a photo, etc.
3. Tell you my favorite thing about you.
4. Tell you a memory of you that I try to remember.
5. Ask something I've always wanted to know about you.
6. Tell you my favorite deviation of yours.
7. Tell you what I'd do if we were in the same room right now.
8. If you and I are handcuffed together in a cop car. Using only 3 words ,what I would say to you.
9. In return, you must post this in your journal
Time Rolls On
To Everyone,
Thank you,
Thank you for being there, and for being the such awesome friends you have been to me.
I cannot express in words how much it means to know that somewhere, someone is in my corner.
I don't have a lot to give back in return other then my friendship but i don't feel like that is enough.
may our hopes and dreams be given some form in this new year,
hopefully we should find what we want, should that be a College place, a new Job or something on the more personal level. I sincerely hope from the bottom of my heart that 2013 can be made greater then the highs of 2012, and that there be no lows.
so again.
